Introduction: Taking the Bus

You probably already know that public transportation is convenient and environmentally friendly. But did you know that, at U-M, it's also free?

In addition to U-M buses, faculty, staff (including temporary staff) and students may also ride the Ann Arbor Transportation (AATA) buses at no charge through the "MRide" program, just by presenting a valid U-M identification card (MCard) to the bus driver.

At that price, you can't afford not to take advantage of either or both of these bus services.

U-M Transit Services also provides bus charter service and other special transit services which are intended to be economical, efficient and environmentally-friendly.
